Discover the Dinosaurs - 2013

We went to the Discover the Dinosaurs exhibit a couple of weeks ago at the River Center.  It was a lot of fun.  They had the dinosaur exhibits that were interactive, a movie, fossil dig, face painting, dinosaur rides, golf and inflatables.  Kirsten had a blast.  She was afraid to ride the dinosaur rides, but she did everything else.  Fun day!

Kids Say the Funniest Things

I always tell Kirsten that I love her to the moon and back.  Well, a couple of months ago I said "I love you, Kirsten" and she said "I love you, too".  Then I said, "How much does mommy love you?" and she replied, "To the moon and back".  Then I asked her, "How much do you love mommy" and she said "Five minutes!".  I thought that was hilarious. #priceless

Christmas 2012

I loved experiencing the holidays this year with Kirsten. She was old enough this year to really understand about Jesus' birthday and all the magic around Santa Claus. We even did the Elf on the Shelf and Kirsten named her Pinkie. On Christmas Eve we baked cookies for Santa and left him milk and water (Kirsten's idea) with the cookies. She wrote her letter to Santa and then we read Twas the Night Before Christmas before she went to bed. She loved all her gifts and then we went to Granny and Paw Paw's house for Christmas dinner. It was a magical and special holiday, and I'm sad to see it end. Here are a few pictures from Christmas holidays.

Thanksgiving 2012

We spent Thanksgiving this year at our house in Baton Rouge with my mom's family.  We had an awesome time.  Kirsten enjoyed playing with her cousins, Madison and Sydney.  We ate a lot and just enjoyed spending time together.  Can't wait to do it again!

Halloween 2012

Okay, I realize that I am very behind with the posts.  I'm on Facebook now, and I swear it's a lot easier to simply post from my phone but this site is dedicated for Kirsten and I want her to have something to go back and look at when she's older to record her growth.

Halloween was fun this year.  Kirsten dressed up at school as a pumpkin the Friday before Halloween and then her daddy took her to a costume birthday party where she dressed as a butterfly.  On Halloween night, we trick-or-treated in the neighborhood and it was so much fun.  Kirsten wore her butterfly costume again.  The participation in our neighborhood was awesome.  She got so much candy that we ended up having to throw some away because she couldn't eat it all.

Here are a few pictures from her Halloween:

Happy 3rd Birthday Kirsten!

Three years already!  Where has the time gone?  Kirsten had her third birthday party this past weekend.  I had it at a local place called It's My Party.  It has all different kinds of indoor inflatable bouncers and slides.  There were kids of all ages there and they all had a blast.  This year was special also to me because Kirsten could actually understand that it was her birthday and she knew it was a special day for her.  Granny, Sheba and Miles even came all the way from Mississippi to celebrate with us.

Kirsten is definitely the love of my life.  I thank God on a regular basis for blessing me with her and she is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me.  She is continuing to grow and develop her own little personality.  She can say all her alphabets, the days of the week, count to 15, sing several nursery rhymes and she's even started to recognize letters in the alphabet. She can say her grace by herself and her prayers. Kirsten is also going through the "why?" phase right now and that is something I'm trying to find all the answers to for her. It is truly a joy spending time with her because she says the most interesting things and it's just fun to be able to hold a conversation with her.  I can hardly believe that my little baby is growing up right before my eyes!  I love her so much and I look forward to every day I have with her.

That's enough of me gushing about my baby for now.  Here are a few pictures from her party.
